First week of summer 2023 is under our belt. Swim team every morning for 2 full hours. They were worn out and hungry. On Monday we went to the library to sign up for summer reading. No free lunch as they'd run out. I made BLTs at home instead. Every afternoon I am making them all do Prodigy, Achieve and at least 30min of library DEAR time. Some of them usually fall asleep. I've been slowly going through all the clothes in their rooms. Cleaning out closets and going through the new bags of hand me downs in the garage. This project is going into next week, too. It's a lot. St. Johns VBS for the win. On Monday, Phil and I took the Hogan girls and Ellie to studio rehearsals at Jax City Ballet. We had a date at the MX restaurant then I listened to my book and rucked. Tuesday, I went running with Spot in the morning and rucking with Rachael during VBS. We met Emily for dinner at the Flafel bar during VBS. Wednesday, I went to the HIT class at the gym then to the Art Walk alone then crashed the Bentons date. The Hogans took Ellie to dance for us. Great carpooling with the Weisses for VBS. Thursday, I went running without Spot then pulled the kids out of swim to go to the dentist- cavity free! But we have to go back for sealants and extractions. Phil and I had a date to OrSay then met up with the Strassers, Foxes and Alberts for a night cap at Lillians. Friday I did a HIT class then Marly and I went grocery shopping. I took Ellie to her dress rehearsal for Sleeping Beauty. This was the real deal with the owner sitting front and center with a microphone critiquing. We got out early enough to meet the fam for a post rain sunset dinner at TCC. Early bedtime for all to prepare for a full Saturday. We began with a meet at Eagle Harbor. Lots of great swimming from all 4! It's a great summer with all of them being at the top of their age group. Phil timed. We finished at 11 and raced home. I did Ellie's hair (learned how to do a bun with a hair net) then went to TCC to play a USTA match with Sally. I finally won one this season! The rain came and off to the Jax City Ballet recital. It was amazing! The costumes, choreography and level of dance! What a show! We're so proud of Ellie! We dropped her at Cora's graduation party, picked up Voss (he had a play date with Luka during the recital), brought my parent's home and dropped off the kids then Phil and I went to Ryan and Jack's graduation party. We picked up Ellie from Cora's then headed home for another early bedtime after a full day of fun! This morning we slept in, Phil made breakfast then went to a late 10:30 mass. They did a neat Eucharist Benediction. Ellie babysat the Agrestis. Marly babysat the Freis. I played a USTA match with Kerri (and won) then played a singles set with one of our opponents and won 6-1. Phil and I sat in the pool for a bit then picked up the girls babysitting. We're headed to an E-Street dinner with the Strassers to wind down this Sunday Funday. Here are the pics from the week.
