Another one of those weeks where I look back and think, "Wow! How did we do all of that?!" Maycember came to a close and I am looking forward to a calmer week. It was Abby's last week of elementary school. I tried to go every day to help with festivities in my room mom role. I rode with Liz to their field trip on Monday to an arcade. That was a great idea to kick off their last week. There was rehearsal and swim team that night along with a spring sports banquet for Marly. Wednesday was class party day. Ellie got out at noon all week and hitched a ride to help with Voss and Abby's parties happening at the same time. There were more dance rehearsals and Phil had a work dinner. Voss and I had a salmon dinner with my mom. Thursday I went to HIIT class then hung with the Window Gang. I signed some 5th grade yearbooks and saw the school 'clap out' Abby and her classmates. It turned into a stressful evening with screaming getting dance shoes painted last minute and a swim practice. Phil and I went out in the chicken limo with the Fredlands and Strassers to celebrate Nick's Birthday. We took a tour at Intuition then across the street to the Shrimp game then a nightcap at Lillians. It was the perfect stress reliever! Friday I went running then adoration with my mom then to visit my dad. He's been better this week. More awake anyway, but still no where he used to be. I went to Abby's class in time to give them popsicles after picking up trash around the school. All the kids got out at noon. So school is offically through for all of them. Summer here we come! We spent the afternoon downtown for dress rehearsal. I brought the Fredland girls with me to watch. That's still my favorite part...sitting with friends, sipping wine, eating combos and watching my girls do what they love. Phil and Voss played soccer and had a guys afternoon. It was a late night and they were wiped. Phil and I met the Freemans and Strassers late night to see this awesome jazz band at Lillians. Saturday morning I took Ellie to her last Saturday class, well, she took me. She's been doing lots of driving, merging on the Buckman again and this weekend the 10-95 merger! I did a walk run with my sister then Trader Joe's for flowers. Ellie went to a Birthday party. Voss went to a play date. I got the middle two ready, picked up Ellie and headed downtown. The older two had to be dropped off early so Lauren and I took our 5th graders to the Omni bar to pre-game. The guys and sons and my mom and sister met us. I took Abby over to the theater, got some photos then the show began. Village Dance took it up a notch this year with a flying Peter Pan and crew! Then the second act of a Barbie theme was just so good. I loved it! We had a late dinner back at the Omni bar with the Bravos. It was such a fun night! This morning we slept in a bit and went to the hotel to visit the Bravos and say goodbye to Gee and Jailene. Some family drama then 10:30 mass with Eucharistic adoration. We played family soccer to get some endorphins flying then popsicles at the Fredlands. Phil and I picked up Checkers for dinner, family rosary and early bedtime. Here are the pics of the week.
