I think rain rain means fall in Florida. That's about all we've got. I'm okay with it. It's not too much that it's flooding. It cools things off and gives me an excuse to sit inside with a book. I'm listening to another one and trying to catch up with the reading challenge. I finished 9 Perfect Strangers but then realized Hulu's not coming out with the series until next year so it's not going to count for this year- back to the drawing board. I went on an Aldi field trip with my MOPS pal, Tori and spent way too much money. Trying new things, though. So far, so good. We had a PTA zoom call- getting things geared up and trying to figure it all out. I went to a Dynamic Catholic meeting then a tennis match with some heavy hitters- Danielle, Rebekah and Francis. Wednesday was a country club morning- I played tennis with Keri, Christian and Beth then went to round 2 of the golf clinic. I picked up Thai lunch for Ellie and I. This was her last week of distance learning Wednesday; now she is back full time. Village Dance started back this week. It was nice to be back in the park every afternoon (no fighting over screen time). Spot was happy, too and I got in some great steps. Rain or sauna, we are out there. The girls seemed happy to be dancing again (I think they are used to wearing masks all the time). Kate hosted a MOPS movie night to watch Mulan. It was pretty good- not like the animated version. Thursday my sister and I had a "liquid lunch" donating blood. I don't have the antibodies but I'm wondering if she does. I met my parents for lunch at Trents afterwards. It's nice spending so much time with them. Friday we rode bikes to and from school. It's so nice to not have to push a jogging stroller or coddle a child on training wheels. I must say, I am enjoying this phase. We had a nice, peaceful ride to school. I went to adoration with my parents again at Sacred Heart. This time I said a rosary. I'm liking this new tradition. I hosted a liberal ladies lunch with Rachael, Tracy, Jessica and Zoe. So much enriching conversation. Phil and I played in a Wine & 9 with the Napoleons. We only got about half way through before we were rained out. More time in the living room. This weekend was fairly relaxing for me. Lots of rain. The kids spent the bulk of their time with the Hayes kids across the street. I organized Abby's clothes and listened to "Women in the Window" and have been politically debating my brother all weekend. Phil played in a sneaks and cleats tournament. The tennis was mainly rained out. Ellie and I went to the TCC pool on Saturday and crashed a Birthday party. We kicked off the celebration for Stephanie's 40th at O'rsay (ended up back in the living room). Rainy morning mass then breakfast. Ellie went to tie dye masks at the Bentons. Phil took Voss to soccer "try outs" or more like placement for the league. We had dinner with the Bentons to kick off another week. And here we go!
