There was no school on Monday; one more day to catch our breath after spring break. I dropped the middles at the ortho, Ellie at the gym and went to tennis clinic. We did a gals grocery run (nice to have all the help!) and then the afternoon reading Wicked and getting organized for the week. The girls had dance, I went to book club at Aubree’s to discuss After the Hurricane. It was one of those books I liked less after discussing it with the group; woops. I drove carpool this week and spent lots of time doing middle school PTSA stuff; signs for new students, awards were due this week and getting ready for end of the school year chaos! Maureen and I played tennis on Tuesday and pulled out a not so easy win against Oakleaf. Still laughing about my failed Australian attempt in HIIT class on Wednesday. I got to play with Kerri that night in the Ros tournament. We got a bit of a spanking but made it look not so bad in the second set. We had a pretty easy win at San Jose on Thursday morning so that felt good. Lots of tennis this week! Our 21st wedding anniversary was Thursday. We went to dinner and fought through most of it, over raising teens. That’s so 21 years! Phil arranged an after party at Lillians which ended on a high note but made Friday a bit harder. I hosted the elementary school PTA nominating committee that morning (after pressure washing all the pollen off the porch!) We combed through some drama to iron out a slate to present sometime next month. Next I went to the Nutcracker board meeting to vote on how much money to donate (love that) and rolled myself a bit out of that board into another secretary position. The Bentons had us over for oysters on the river on a perfect springtime Friday night. Of course we stayed too long and ended up in another fight. Saturday morning started early with my last drive with Ellie to FruitCove dance class (she will be driving herself next week!), Abby to a Birthday party at the beach and then met at Voss’ soccer game. Watched him score two amazing goals and winning the game! He went off to a Birthday Party sleepover. Back to FruitCove to get Ellie. We had CFA lunch with the older two then I worked on planting and trying to revive a few of my holiday plants. I’m most excited about replanting an orchid in a tree. We shall see. Phil and I had a date on the balcony of TCC Saturday night, another perfect spring night! Watching a gorgeous wedding on the lawn. Sunday morning we had mass, religion class (learning how to strengthen our conscience) then picked up some pals and went to the North FL Land trust brunch. A fun morning turned into a rainy cocktails afternoon at TCC with a different set of pals and then OrSay dinner on a Sunday night. What Sunday scaries? Here are the pics of the week
