The one chilly, windy day of the week was the one we skipped out and did a boat day for Lauren's 4/20 Birthday. It was nice to get the gang together and chill for a day on the river. We all came home with wind burnt cheeks. I picked up swim carpool and scrambled to do some chores. Tuesday I went to the gym and threw an attitude bc the instructor didn't show up. Jordan ended up doing a HIIT class with us. I met Emma at Costco and we picked up 90 meals for teachers and staff and delivered them. I definitely got my workout in that afternoon lifting boxes of enchilada bakes! From there I went to a SAC meeting at Marly's school and then a swim meet for Abby (waiting on the bus to arrive). Joan and I played again on Wednesday and lost, but the 2nd set was a tie breaker so we're getting closer. I helped with the de-stress carnival at Ellie's school...although she wasn't there. (I did accidently bring home the principal's keys on Tuesday so I needed to return them). Ellie got a window fixed in her car (kids on a bus were throwing rocks) and then also got a prom dress! We did a zoom call to learn about a University in Paris which led to some European school searches. I snuck out and met up with the MomCo moms for a night out at Falafel Bar, what a great group of gals! I'm so proud of this amazing group of moms supporting each other. Thursday was another nuts-so day. I walked with Angela in the neighborhood, popped into Walmart to buy a bunch of lasagnas for teachers then headed to Ellie's school to do an essential oils mixing thing for teachers there. I am actually glad they celebrated teacher appreciation week this week. I'll have enough to juggle the other schools at the same time for the official week. I raced home from there to heat up the lasagnas and bring them to Abby's school, which will also be Voss' school. They had the welcome new students night. So after running dinner in for teachers, we scrambled to get parents to join the PTSA. Whew! What a night! I dropped Voss then met Phil, the Freemans and Strassers at Orsay. Not a great night to hang the moon for me, yet I did it anyway. Ended with me eating fries with my cold Josh listening to Disturbed on TouchTunes. Friday I met Matt's moving truck to deliver a house full of stuff he's had in storage. I was able to pop back between the mover and a fun match at TCC. I love it when the timing works out like that! From there I went to Ellie's school to serve lunch to teachers and then have lunch with the PTSA moms. Such a fun group! That night we ended up meeting back up with Carl and the Strassers and had dinner then sat in rocking chairs on the river. Saturday morning I did a HIIT class then went to watch Voss' first tournament game. It was hot and they got a piece of humble pie. The girls and I left there for a dance concert at JU. Suzanne met up with us and the cold AC made a few of us snooze. It was a different, contemporary concert. We raced Marly to a babysitting gig with future cousin, Penelope. I met up with friends to cheer our pal, Sunny on in the Children's Chorus Dancing with the Stars. Lots of laughs and Sunny's awesome legs got her 2nd place! Voss scored the only goal in the 2nd match that evening. He had a 7am game on Sunday morning so Phil and I trekked it back out to the beach for another humbling game. I made it in time to teach CCD and Ellie and Abby came with me to mass. Marly went back to babysitting. We had a nice, chill afternoon with Pub subs and sushi. Keeping up with mom in France. My wonderful neighbors send me daily updates. Here are the pics of the week.
