Our home has been taken down by the Maycember bug. The big weekend was too much for Marly. She didn’t get out of bed until Wednesday. She went to school for a bit before I came to get her. I think Abby actually started the train. She missed a day last week but I can’t remember which one. It took a few days (she told me 4) for her to recover. Phil stayed home Thursday and Friday. I started going downhill Thursday but powered through. Theraflu is my jam. The rain spoiled a lot this week, although we truly needed it. Monday at flag raising Voss’ patrol training ended and now he’s official. He was also student of the month for citizenship! I went to HIIT, then WD. I picked Abby up from school early for a dentist appointment since she was on her class trip when the others went. Voss built a rocket at cub scouts. Tuesday I did a 105 clinic and played nurse to Marly. We worked on nominating committee for high school and elementary school. We had a Nutcracker marketing lunch then I proctored an IB exam. Thursday I drove out to PV to play in the C team play day. The chills started on the drive while listening to The End of the Alzheimer’s Program. It’s a bit too much for me but I’m letting it do the talking. I had to do some gift card shopping for coaches. Voss was supposed to have a make up game but the other team didn’t show so they had a practice and then their end of season party. Phil and I were both feeling awful, quite the sight to see, sweating it out on the field for awards. Friday we had the check presentation for Nutcracker. We donated $57,500 to Dreams Come True, WeCare and Lutheran Social Services. I went back to high school to pass out teacher appreciation gift cards (never ending project). Phil took Marly to her swim banquet (she racked up with the coach’s award!). Ellie took the littles to the pool. I went to my C team tennis party for a bit then came home and went to bed. Saturday we slept in, except Ellie who got up and went to dance. Abby went to a paint party. My mom and SQ came to cheer on Voss for his last soccer game of the season. They won 4-1! Great season! I took Voss to Isabel’s Birthday. Then Marly to head to her semi-formal. I’m stuck watching The Last of Us, drinking tea, staying hydrated and popping cold med. I picked up the crew from the semiformal and crashed. This morning we all served at mass then had our last CCD class of the season. I took my kids on a walk around the campus talking about our lessons of the year. It was a nice ending. I’ve been vegging on the couch all afternoon. Hoping this bug has run its course! Here are the pics of the week.
