I drove carpool this week. After clinic on Monday, I went to Deacon George’s funeral. Deacon Yazdiya gave a great homily honoring his life. It was a packed, beautiful mass. There will be a gaping hole in our parish without him, projects left undone. Very sad. Kerri and I won our match at Oakleaf on Tuesday, a much needed happy. I was organized that afternoon, got dinner done and then Voss and I went to the school board meeting (after getting stuck by a train). I am SO PROUD of Voss getting up for a public comment talking about riding his bike to school and loosing bus transportation for middle school. He was amazing! I went to HIIT class on Wednesday then to BK for my Godson’s official college signing. I’m so proud of him deciding to swim in college and going to Lynn this fall. From there I picked up Marly from school, had a coffee date at Starbucks and then dropped her off for her DA dance audition. Not at all prepared for all the things that afternoon. I had to call in help from my pal, Tracy and luckily Phil was able to drive a leg from trombone and dance and then back to DA. Hard to tell how the audition went, we’ll find this spring. Thursday I crammed in a HIIT class then went to MomCo for sex chat with Noelle. I spent a lot of time immersion reading Beloved. Friday morning I went to HIIT then had coffee with an ole pal, Christine. Lots of Twilight Zone talk. Phil came home early, we packed up, picked up all the kids early from school and headed to Pensacola. We stayed in Katie's new house and watched her 3 beautiful children so she and Steve could go to her pal, Ekta's wedding in Key West. My amazing kids put her kids to bed while the adults went out for a night on the town. We went to dinner at the Oar House then downtown to Seville Square. We had an easy morning enjoying the front porch and park in their front yard then packed up the kids and went to the National Naval Aviation Museum. You know Voss loved that part! We did a quick CFA lunch then the adults headed over to Hattiesburg for my cousin, Caroline's wedding. Only mom was invited to the actual ceremony so we dropped her off and met cousins at the hotel for a round or two. I loved catching up with the SistaCousins! The reception was fun with lots of dancing and cake options. We partied hard for a few hours then SQ drove us back to Pensacola. The next morning we took our 7 children to mass then stayed after for snacks and playground time. My kids put Katie's kids down for a nap then we hit the road. Phil drove a bit, then I got us through Tallahassee then Ellie drove the last leg. We picked up Super Bowl snacks then watched the game and historic halftime show. We zonked soon after. Here are the pics of the week.
