No sense getting into a routine when we are just here for a week. I made the kids do swim team practice each morning. I took Ellie and Andrew to drivers Ed. That was tricky without mapping it on my phone. I had to rock it 1990s style and map it on the computer before I left and then still had to do some u-ies but figured it out. They both passed the exam and got their certificate and then didn’t have to go back for the rest of the week. The Parks girls came to play Monday and Tuesday. I dropped Ellie and the littles off to hang at the shops- Chamblins, Chipotle, Alta both Monday and Friday. I had book club on Monday, speed listening to the book to finish in time. Eight Flavors was more fun as a potluck party instead of literature chat. Still thinking of Heather’s garlic cake and I was the winner of the siracha card game! I loved Bridgerton and Fifty Shades of Grey this week. Abby spent the night with Landis. Marly had Sophie spend the night with us one night. Marly did boating camp at FYC each day. She passed the test and got her boating license! I did a HIIT class or took Spot for a run during swim team. I played tennis in a round robin on Monday morning. I survived without a phone thanks to my watch and the iPad and Ellie’s phone. Ellie drove us out to the beach to meet up with the Bentons on Juneteenth. It was a good drive to listen to NPR’s coverage. Voss had a good meeting with Thriveworks to talk about managing his emotions. I had a Nutcracker Board meeting on Friday. We saw Marly dock a boat. We visited dad each afternoon. He’s looking better this week; awake and talking but not making much sense. My phone arrived on Friday afternoon! It has a small crack in the center but it’s still smooth on the top. We had deep dish pizza on Friday night with the littles. I updated all my socials. The older two babysat. Saturday morning we drove to Fleming Island for our last swim meet of the season. We have some heat winners but Eagle Harbor has a huge team! It was nice to chat with parents and time in the second half. We took Ellie to SAT prep class, had lunch at Moe’s and hang in the book store. My brother, Erik came in town with Kelley and the baby. We got to visit with them Saturday afternoon, have dinner then a parents night out while the girls slept over with Mimi to babysit Logan. They helped with early morning so the west coasters could sleep in. I started packing and ended up wrecking the coat closet and searching for missing things. I did clean the couch, which is a very much underrated chore. We played family soccer in the middle of a very hot day. It still felt good to sweat it out. We visited Logan again and crashed Suzanne visit (come out hot after a COVID case). We went to 5pm mass then met Kelley at Sunray for Inside Out 2. It was so good seeing the movie with her after her working on it for two full years. We loved seeing her name in the credits! Here are our pics of the week.
