Whew! What a fun week! I didn't have to drive carpool so I got lots of coffee on the porch time. Early morning was the only time I felt fall, it's back to summer the rest of the day, humidity included. I went to clinic then spent the rest of the day reading our book club book, The Woman in Black. It was perfectly spooky for Halloween. I dressed in black and headed out to Cimmeron for the meeting. Tuesday, started off wonky because I skipped out on two PTA things to play tennis. I told a friend to go to the wrong place to pick up coffee, Phil spilled coffee all over Ellie and I missed my exit. But, Maureen and I beat the Jax Golf ladies and it felt great. I met Phil for lunch. We spent some time with our favorite ortho and then the usual dance and soccer routine. Wednesday I skipped out on another PTA coffee and got to sub up to play on B at FYC. This one was not as easy as a win but I'm thankful Diane and I made it happen. I met Steph and Jess for lunch. It was nice to catch up and talk about healthy choices. Not that I did any of them as the week progressed. An afternoon of trombone, dance and celebrating Spot's 6th Birthday! Phil and I dashed out for a midweek dinner with a work friend of his who was passing through town. A normal delish dinner at Oceana turned into waltzing San Marco like we did in our 20s. We ended up in a speakeasy downtown in the middle of the night. Oh my. I'm grateful Ellie drove us to school on Thursday because I had to volunteer all morning for a round table discussion on AI. Luckily, my aid was only in nametags and serving pizza. That was about all I was capable of doing. Concessions shopping at Walmart. Soccer, dance and Phil picked up from swim and then I had a MOPS clothing swap. I only stayed for a bit and then went to bed early. Friday, Kerri and I subbed up to B and played in St. Augustine. So grateful she drove us in the electric car! We had another win, which felt really great with amazing drop shots from her and lobs from me. I loaded up and headed to middle school to sling concessions for the homecoming dance. We had a great group of volunteers and it all went by so fast. Of course I was late (according to Phil) getting out of there to dash to Gourmet on the Green. TCC really did it up this year with perfect weather, delicious food and all the wine. JoHo took us for a nightcap on the river which turned into night swimming in the St. Johns. Saturday was rough but we headed out to watch Voss kill it on the soccer field. I did the last two shifts of Nutcracker including a Parlor donuts walk with Suzanne and Dolly. We stayed in that night and got pizza and watched No One Will Save You for spooky family movie night. Yes, it was scary. No nightmares so far. We went to mass then CCD then the younger two went to a jumping Birthday party. Ellie went to a pumpkin painting party. Phil and I gave a talk to parents having their children receive First Communion about living faith with family. We did more of a round table discussion. Then, we went on a Sushi Bear date. Now playing whack a mole trying to get kids in bed with costume drama and the scramble on homework was saved by the school platform being offline. Here are the pics of the week.
