Catching up on the last two weeks. Wow-wee, managing the lives of four children is A LOT. I must have signed up to do all this stuff back when there wasn't a lot going on. And then why does it all have to happen at the same time? Phil's Birthday was Monday. He played tennis and friends took him out for drinks. I tried to do a Mothers Day Take II with chocolate and Outlander after tennis clinic. The afternoons were a blur with dance studio rehearsals in preparation for recital. Also, swim team mixed in there and Voss had baseball play offs and they just kept on winning! I played lots of tennis on Tuesday and Thursday (both wins) then got to play up for the B team (although we lost). Stephanie hosted a bunch of moms for a last hurrah. She always hosts such gorgeous parties. We had prosessco and cupcakes in the park that afternoon for Anne's 40th Birthday. We also surprised her that weekend with dinner at O'rsay. Jason pulled off an epic surprise! I played in Sally's monthly tennis girls night. I went to Lauren's wine women and shoes fundraiser. I ended up getting to be IN the show, on the runway modeling some of the designers clothes! Ha! The best part was the after party, sitting on the back porch of TCC, finishing off the open wine and catching up. I love that part. I went with my parents to adoration that morning and then lunch with UE and AS at Trents. Phil played in the TCC member member tennis tournament with Patrick Emmett (nationally ranked doubles player!). They would have won it all but Patrick got heat stroke on Sunday and they had to forfeit. That happened to another player on Saturday, too. It was a hot weekend for sure! I loved watching my tennis friends play each other, too. I hosted the Stockton PTA nominating committee for coffee and donuts to hash out a dream team for the next school year. We will be presenting that slate soon for a vote. More dance rehearsals, baseball practice and a JWJ PTSA zoom meeting to vote on new officers for next year. I'm taking over as president and got Dara to be VP with me. I have a lot to learn in that role, oh dear! Rachael and I won our last tennis match of the season. It felt great, but my mind was all over the place. The girls all went to dance, I went to JWJ to work the PTSA table for the 6th grade welcome. This time we learned out to get people to register online with memberhub, not square. I left early from that to make it in time for Voss' playoff game. I missed his amazing hit, but got to see them win. Lillians after party. Wednesday was early release at Tropical Smoothie. I had enough time to have a quick coffee with April before I got the call that Abby's allergic reaction (I think to a necklace she was wearing) was looking rough. Swim team and baseball practice; I'm so thankful Phil is able to help with all of this because there is no way I could do it all! Thursday, Voss cleaned it up at his end of the year awards ceremony. He received all Es (for Excellence) all year, a reading award (we totally turned in that chart in the final hour) and citizenship. We went back to his classroom for 4th quarter awards. He told me to leave and that I was embarrassing him so no photos there. Renee helped pick up Ellie for me. We met at Panera for a fun lunch before dress rehearsal. We picked up the Stockton girls (an extra friend, too....how do people do this who work full time?!) and met up with the Bravos. Phil's parents and sister flew in the morning and checked into the Omni. It was so perfect to have their help in getting 4 girls ready for dress rehearsal. Voss went home from school with Grant and then Phil picked him up to take him to another playoff game! I was watching with the app in the theater. He got another great hit to change the tides of the game and they ended up winning! The Bravos never made it to the game but stayed at the hotel for some R&R. I packed heavy snacks and wine to enjoy the dress rehearsal (I might enjoy that part more than the actual recital). Check the videos section for videos of all their dances that I took then. We met up with Voss' team at Lillians for a nightcap after the dress rehearsal (probably not a wise parent move). The next morning was Marly's graduation from elementary school! We let all the kids skip school, my parents and sister, Phil's parents and sister all came to cheer Marly on. It was a 2 hour ceremony at OPS with a sweet slideshow. They had a quick reception and then we came home for a family party. I had chicken salad sandwiches and salad. We had Chick Fil A deliver nuggets and fries for the kids and then Marly had a cookie cake. It was very sweet. The Bravos took Marly and Abby back for some hotel pool time. Ellie, Voss and I vegged while Phil went back to work. I took Ellie down to the theater nice and early then went back to the hotel to help Marly and Abby get ready. Phil and Voss drove my parents downtown. We had quite the fan club to watch the girls dance beautifully in their recital. The theme was Wizard of Oz for the first half and for the 2nd act. It was such a fun night, I loved sitting next to my sister! We went back with the Bravos and VanWies to the hotel lobby for a nightcap. Saturday morning we were all up early for Voss' Championship baseball game! I was shocked when the Bravos arrived at our house by 8:15am! My mom helped get everyone on base. It was an awesome game! We were down for all but the last inning. Voss had a great hit out to right field and made it home! We won 16-13 and Voss got a huge trophy! It was awesome! Phil, Abby and the Bravos went to lunch and a movie. I dropped Marly and Ellie at the Kane triplet's Birthday party then I took Voss to his friend, Isabel's Birthday party, then back to the Kanes. After about an hour, I left Marly at the Kanes then Voss, Ellie and I went to the Quinn twins Birthday party. Luckily all of this was in the same neighborhood! Marly was dropped off right as the rain came down. What a day! We were able to say farewell to the Bravos before they headed to the airport to wait for hours for a rain delay. Early bedtime for most of us. Except, Phil, Ellie and I went to the Bentons for hot tub time and a nightcap. We were all so happy to sleep in on Sunday and go to the later mass. It was a necessary veg day! Phil and I did a Sunday Funday tennis in the heat before the rain came. Summer is upon us. But first, one more week of #Maycember! Here are the pics of the last 2 weeks.
