Easter season and the weather is absolutely perfect! Perhaps a morning chill and the afternoons are breezy and sunny. I know the summer oven will be here any moment so I'm trying to breathe and enjoy it. The weeks are super busy. I sneak in me time when I can. I finished listening to the Devil in the Grove, which is very necessary reading but made my stomach hurt. I'm reading my book club book and watching Outlander. Monday was really the only day I was able to play tennis, at clinic. The kids were off from school. Ellie and Charlotte did a shopping trip to Target. Marly and I bummed around and complained about the prices. We went to pick up new tap $hoes for Ellie. Tuesday I babysat the Spencer children as a gift for my friend, Anne. That was her baby shower gift, a pedicure and me babysitting so she could get it done. I went with Phil to see him get acupuncture on Wednesday. Fingers crossed and super neat! We went to lunch at the Fish House. Thursday morning, Marly and I got up super early and got on the bus with the patrols to go to Islands of Adventure in Universal Studios in Orlando. It took us a bit to get situated and learn how the park works (i.e you have to put all your stuff, even their patrol belts into a locker for the roller coasters). We started with a large group and it ended up with just Marly and I. Lines were long and it was crowded but at least Universal sometimes had a single rider line and fun stuff to look at while we waited. We met back up with the group at the end to do a water ride and got soaked. We had to run back to get to the bus and got a slight hand slap for being late. Our punishment was a cold bus ride home in wet clothes. Such a fun day with lots of tips and tricks for next time! Friday, I took Spot for a run, did some yoga and met my parents for adoration and oyster lunch at Trents. That evening was a meet and greet for swim team. We met the new coaches then enjoyed the opening of the Grove. Later, Phil and I went to Andrew's house for drinks to bid him farewell on his next adventure. Ellie babysat for sweet Parker. Saturday morning, Voss had a baseball game. My parents came to watch, too. Hotdogs for all! Voss got a hit, one even stuck in the tree! He was tagged out at first base but is really improving. Marly and Abby went to the pool with friends. Phil took the other two to meet up with everyone. I picked up my parents and the Maddoxes (Matt's neighbors from Panama City). We met Suzanne and Sean at the Brick then all went downtown via minivan to the Elton John concert. What a show! I didn't know all the songs, which surprised me. It was so amazing to see such a legend so close in person. Just, wow! The next morning, Marly served last minute for Tug at 8:30 mass. We stayed after with coffee and donuts chatting with the Harbys. That afternoon, the VanWies picked us up to watch the Tiny Dock series concert (with Paris Winningham from the Voice) on the Dummond Yacht. Way to take it up a notch with Sunday Funday! We sure are lucky people! Here are the pics from the week.
